Founded in 2015, SONA (Songwriters of North America) is an inclusive and diverse community of passionate music creatives and industry professionals, brought together to reimagine the music industry in the 21st century. SONA uses this collective voice to defend and represent the songwriter community in all issues impacting songwriters, from the right to fair pay in the digital era, to upholding safety and equality standards in workplaces where music is created. SONA seeks to make a difference through educating, strategizing and mobilizing people from all corners of the songwriting world. Headquartered and operated in and from the Cayman Islands as a registered and regulated non-profit organization, the newly-founded SONA+C seeks to carry out SONA’s mission for the benefit of songwriters and their communities across the Caribbean.
