CayFest 2025: Moana Jr.
- Description
-
After the success of last year’s “Wizard of Oz” and “Aladdin Kids”, John Gray High School wowed audiences again, with their spectacular production of Disney’s Moana Jr.
Moana Jr tells the tale of an adventurous teenager, who sets sail beyond the reef on a mission to save her people. On her journey, she meets Maui, a demigod, who guides her to become the Master Wayfinder she longs to be. Together, they sail across the ocean, encountering monsters and overcoming rough seas as Moana fulfils the quest of her ancestors, to restore the heart of Tafeti and save mankind.
The characters of Moana and Maui were colourfully brought to life by Kahlie Anglin Henry and Aaron Perera. The large supporting cast boasted students across all school year groups, with other notable performances by Jamie Foster, as Gramma Tala and Taylor Thomas and Kaymani Ebanks as Chief Tui and Sina. Heihei the rooster and Pua the pig were abled portrayed by Suwaine Powell and De’Marly Wood.
