The Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) proudly presents Agnes of God, a compelling psychological drama written by John Pielmeier and directed by Dr. Henry Muttoo. Opening to the public on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at the Harquail Studio Theatre, the production runs weekends through 30 November, with the possibility of an encore weekend on 6–7 December.Part of CNCF’s Artist-in-Residence Programme, Agnes of God explores how far someone will go to keep a secret and the pressures institutions place on individuals to bring the truth to light. The play follows Sister Agnes, a young novice nun who is found to have given birth under mysterious circumstances. When Dr. Martha Livingstone, a psychiatrist, is appointed to investigate, her encounters with the convent’s Mother Superior uncover a profound and emotional exploration of belief, trauma, and truth.
The production marks Dr. Muttoo’s first directorial project since retiring as CNCF’s Artistic Director and features a distinguished cast:

Performances begin at 7:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6:00 PM on Sundays.
Note: This production contains mature themes, including references to trauma, abuse, and infant loss.
